What a day in the Ardennes! Today’s route took us from the famous Tiger Tank at La Gleize, through the flowing forest trails towards Stoumont, before returning along the banks of the River Amblève and finishing at the spectacular Waterfalls of Coo.

The history beneath our feet was impossible to ignore. During the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944, this area witnessed some of the fiercest fighting of the Second World War. The Tiger Tank in La Gleize remains a powerful reminder of the German advance that was ultimately halted here by Allied forces.

As if the challenging terrain wasn’t enough, temperatures soared to an incredible 34°C. Despite the heat, every participant dug deep, supported one another, and crossed the finish line safely.

Tired legs, big smiles, plenty of memories and, most importantly, everyone finished healthy and happy.

Another unforgettable chapter of the Liberation Trail.
